At Bromley’s Denture Clinic in Tweed Heads South, we are here to help with any of your denture concerns. Over time you may notice your dentures become loose or ill-fitting. This is due to a number of factors, including bone loss under your denture, missing teeth/clasps and general wear and tear. All of these things can cause discomfort and embarrassment for the denture wearer, and in severe cases cause denture breakage.
Our compassionate staff understands the difficulties that denture wearers face as well as how important your teeth are to you. At our on-site laboratory servicing the Tweed and Gold Coast, we are able to provide same-day* repairs and relines, so you are not without your denture for an extended period of time.
*in most cases
Over time, regardless if you have full or partial dentures, bone shrinks away, and gums change shape resulting in lack of support. This shrinking (resorption) begins when your natural teeth are extracted, and whilst it slows down, it never completely stops. This means there is a continual need for maintenance on your denture in the form of a reline. This can be done on both full and partial dentures.
Unlike some other clinics that just put a new layer of plastic in the denture, we replace the entire fitting surface of your denture by taking a new impression. This involves removing all the pink plastic and replacing it to fit the new shape recorded in the impression. The entire process takes a single day, and is completed on-site, resulting in greater denture comfort and retention. Relines only affect the fitting surface of the denture but will not affect the appearance.
After your reline has been completed, you will probably need adjustments. This is completely normal, and we are more than happy to adjust your dentures for you as many times as you need it. There is no charge for this service, so if you have a problem, let us know – we’re always happy to hear from you!
If your dentures have become chipped, fractured, cracked or split; if they’ve lost teeth; or even if they’ve broken into multiple pieces – come and see the caring professionals at Bromley’s Denture Clinic. Call our friendly staff on 07 5523 2555 to find out how we can help.
We offer a two to three hour service on acrylic repairs, with work completed in-house. If your denture has a metal framework, we won’t be able to repair this on-site but can arrange repairs quickly and return your denture as soon as possible. Our team works with all denture types, including
full and partial dentures, as well as
implant-retained dentures.
Most dentures last for around eight to ten years, but they’ll need relining every three to four years. If you’re wearing
immediate dentures, you will probably need to see us for adjustments and relines more regularly. We can reline or refit your dentures when they become loose or unstable but are still in good condition, so it’s not always necessary to construct a new denture.
