Our professionals at Bromley’s Denture Clinic offer immediate dentures throughout the Gold Coast and Tweed region. If you’re having teeth removed, our team in Tweed Heads South can collaborate with your dentist to create a removable denture before the extractions occur. Your dentist will be able to insert your new denture immediately following the extractions, so you won’t have to wait for a denture to be constructed after your teeth are removed.
An immediate denture lessens the discomfort of having missing teeth and helps to protect the sensitive extraction areas from irritation. The denture is made while your natural teeth are still in place, so our dental prosthetist can make sure to match any remaining teeth (if required) creating a more realistic appearance. With our laboratory in-house, you’re guaranteed a denture that’s made to Australian quality standards and meets all Therapeutic Goods Australia (TGA) requirements.
An immediate denture is a wonderful alternative to having no teeth. Still, it won’t be the same as your natural teeth. It will take time to adjust to your immediate denture as your mouth is changing very quickly. For your comfort and oral health, you’ll need adjustments to your immediate denture, particularly in the first 6 months, to relieve any sore spots or irritations that develop. Our prosthetist will take care to this at our clinic in Tweed Heads South, doing our best to make sure the denture remains comfortable. We’ll make adjustments as often as you need. Immediate dentures are made to replace unhealthy or damaged teeth that have been marked for extraction by your dentist. If you have been advised an immediate denture is best for your situation (either full or partial), we work in collaboration with you and your dentist to achieve a functional denture to replace the natural teeth that are yet to be extracted.
Our friendly team will liaise with your dentist and coordinate your extraction to make sure your immediate dentures are ready when you need them. We fabricate immediate dentures at our well-equipped laboratory in Tweed Heads South using TGA approved materials and processes.

No. You should never use toothpaste to clean any denture. Toothpaste is excellent for natural teeth, but dentures are not as hard as natural teeth. As toothpaste is abrasive, it will wear the denture away more quickly than Prozcare Paste or soap.
Using Prozcare Paste (or soap and water) with a toothbrush, hold the denture so that the teeth are closest to you and brush down the tooth and onto the pink plastic. Continue by then brushing the chewing surface of the teeth and the surface of the teeth where your tongue goes (as well as the plastic). Finish by turning the denture over so the teeth are away from you and clean the fitting surface thoroughly.
